Losartan carboxylic acid is selective for AT1b over AT2 (Ki = >10,000 nM in COS-7 cells expressing the human receptor). It reduces U-44619-induced aggregation of platelets in isolated human platelet-rich plasma when used at a concentration of 50 µM.{20999} Losartan carboxylic acid (1 mg/kg) reduces mean arterial pressure (MAP) in water-deprived rats.{28031}
