Soyasapogenol B is a triterpenoid that has been found in A. membranaceus and has diverse biological activities.{47474,65972,65973} It inhibits LPS-induced increases in the levels of nitric oxide (NO) in RAW 264.7 macrophages when used at a concentration of 95.6 µM.{47474} Soyasapogenol B (12.5 µM) decreases triglyceride levels, as well as increases glycerol and free fatty acids levels in, and decreases the levels of resistin secreted from, 3T3-L1 adipocytes.{65972} In vivo, soyasapogenol B (80 mg/kg) reduces plasma levels of alanine transaminase (ALT) in a mouse model of autoimmune hepatitis induced by concanavalin A (Item No. 14951).{65973}
